Mission Cross:

Father Xavier Weninger. S.J. Preached first mission here in 1848 First of over 800 he was to preach in America.  Erected 1882 to replace Wooden Cross of 1848 and Dedicated to Spirit of First Mission German Script on Arm of Cross reads “Who Perseveres to the End Shall be Saved”
