This large two-story double residence was built in
1860
as the home of brothers Milton B. and Mahlon
C.
Gordon and their families.
The stone hitching
post
still stands. Milton
was involved with several
milling
businesses, Mahlon Gordon was the largest
landholder
in the county. William
H. Gordon was
bank
president.
