Thompson,
Indiana Author 1844-1901.
James Maurice Thompson, was a famous writer of the late 1800's. He was also a Civil engineer, surveyor, naturalist, geologist, lawyer and politician, His writings included series for the Atlantic Monthly, books, novels, and poetry. He was elected to the Indiana State Legislature in 1879.
