Note: "An early settler in this region, doubtless well known to (John) Conner, was Jabez Winship, who came from Connecticut with his wife Hannah (Forsythe) and his five children about 1805. They were Baptists and active in the affairs of the Little Cedar Grove Baptist church. His young seventeen-year- old daughter, Lavina, later (1810 or 12) became the wife of John Conner."
